Classic night at the Hollywood Bowl

Just a bit of Beethoven, a touch of Richard Strauss, and big scoop of Brahms 1st piano concert makes Bob and  Colleen happy folks.
James Gaffigan conducted the LA Phil in Beethoven's Cariolan Overture and then Richard Strauss's Don Juan.  After the intermission, he conducted Brahms piano concerto no. 1 with Helene Grimauld.

Gaffigan is age 34 and born in New York City.  He won the 2004 Sir Georg Solti International Conducting Competition in Frankfurt, Germany and since then has conducted all over the globe including Cleveland.

Helene Grimauld is age 43 and born in Aix-en-Provence.  She has lived in the U.S., Berlin, and now in Switzerland.  She has a passion for wolves which she raises.  She made the piano howl with passion on Tuesday night
